Girls’ Nite Out
It may have been cold, wet and gray outside,
but it was nothing but warm, dry and colorful inside
– not to mention funky and fun – at The
Peoria Art Guild March 27th Girls’ Nite Out. Despite
the less than pleasant weather, over 50 women gathered
together for a night of beverages, food and live music
as they bonded over a wine-glass decorating event. The
event was a fundraiser for The Guild’s Education
Department and was a huge success!
Special thanks to Lisa Groth, a talented
jeweler and Guild artist, who provided live entertainment
for the evening pro-bono. Lisa did a wonderful job and
received many compliments for her beautiful voice and
amazing guitar skills. Special thanks also to Merrell
Hickey for donating colored wire and funky beads, Erynn
Dykstra for her donation of beverages and food, Wendy
Davidson and Erin Borcherding for spreading the word,
and the Education Committee for their help in planning
the event.
