artREACH
The Peoria Art Guild is dedicated to helping the youth of our community succeed. One of the ways we can realize this goal is through "artREACH." Currently we work with children from more than ten social service agencies and public schools including the Boys and Girls Clubs, Peoria Youth Farm, and Tri-County Urban League. By using art to help these children express themselves, they develop self-esteem and problem solving skills and, most importantly, a sense of accomplishment to help put them on the road to a successful future.
By teaching children to express themselves through art, they learn to discover who they are as well as find a way to reach for their dreams.
artREACH is made possible through grants from
Smith Barney and the Community Foundation of Central
Illinois. Your donation to the artREACH program
will enrich the lives of Peoria's youth. Call The Peoria
Art Guild today, 309.637.2787, to support artREACH.

Community
h'Art
Community h’Art is an outreach program designed
to offer an educational experience in the visual arts
to elementary aged children, K-6, and is available to
students of the public & private school sectors,
home-school groups and after school organizations. The
program is offered from November to May and by special
appointment at all other times of the year.
Community h’Art offers teachers and organization
leaders the flexibility to choose between two types
of visits: the Carry Out visit in which your group comes
to us and includes a brief lecture and tour of our gallery,
or the Delivery visit in which we send a qualified instructor
to lead a hands-on art project in your classroom. A
project list of our ‘menu items’ is available
for each type of visit and are representative of a variety
of media.
All visits are honored on a first-come-first-served
basis.
Please limit your visit to a maximum of 40 students.
A suggested donation of $1per student is requested
for those who participate.
We are always looking for volunteers!
If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact
Erin Robert, Education Coordinator, at erobert@peoriaartguild.org
or 309.637.2787.
