Beginning Watercolors

Explore the art of watercolor painting in this 6-week introductory course. In this class you will learn about the various types of brushstrokes and their applications and explore the use of color. Each week delve into exercises and projects that teach about color mixing, composition, basic drawing, form and value. 

Ages 15 and up

Materials Provided by the Peoria Art Guild: Watercolor paper, Watercolor brushes, Watercolor pigments

Optional Materials: Personal Watercolor brushes and Watercolor pigments

We are committed to the health and safety of students, instructors and patrons, Our organization will be following recommended guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health: Anyone exhibiting symptoms will not be permitted in the building. Class sizes will be limited and workstations set up to allow 6 ft social distance between students and instructors. Masks are required for everyone. Each classroom will contain hand sanitizer and sanitizing stations.
