First Fridays at Peoria Art Guild

5 to 8 p.m. on The First Friday of every Month

First Fridays are a vibrant and exciting way to explore the local art scene in many cities around the world. Held on the first Friday of every month, these tours offer art lovers and enthusiasts the opportunity to discover new galleries, artists, and exhibitions. From contemporary paintings to classic sculptures, First Friday Art Tours showcase a wide range of artistic styles and mediums.

Not only are these tours a fantastic way to discover new art, but they also provide a chance to meet the artists themselves and learn about their inspirations and creative processes. The atmosphere is always buzzing, with live music, food and drink vendors, and enthusiastic crowds of fellow art lovers.

Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply curious about the local art scene, First Friday’s are an excellent way to spend a Friday night. So grab your friends and join us each month at the Peoria Art Guild from 5 to 8 p.m. where we will feature new exhibitions and artists and open our studios for all to enjoy and create with us!

First Fridays Etiquette

Everyone is welcome.

Artists’ receptions are like a big, open house type party and really, crowds are a gift. You can bring friends and all ages are welcome. You don’t have to know the artist. Also, First Friday is always FREE!

Dress comfortably

You don’t have to dress nicely, but you can if you like.

Enjoy the refreshments

There is always light refreshments and drinks. Yes, you can enjoy them even if you don’t know the artist. Go ahead - that’s why we have a refreshment table - for ALL of our guests.

You are not obligated to buy art

You are not expected to buy something - you can certainly do so if you like, but is never an obligation.

Stay as long as you like

You can stay for part of the night or the whole time.

You don’t have to be an art expert

If you don’t know much about art, you are not alone. First Friday is an invitation to anyone - whether you wish to get to know about what the Peoria Art Guild offers, support the current artist(s) and exhibit, gather with friends, co-workers, or family before a night of dinner in Peoria, or any other reasons. Our team at Peoria Art Guild wants you to join us!

Downtown Parking

Street parking is available outside the Guild and is free after 5 p.m. Also, all parking lots adjacent to the Art Guild are available to park in after 5 p.m. and on the weekends.
