First Fridays at Peoria Art Guild

5:00-8:00 p.m. on The First Friday of every Month

First Fridays are a vibrant and exciting way to explore the local art scene in Peoria. Held on the first Friday of every month, these gatherings offer art lovers and enthusiasts the opportunity to discover new galleries, artists, and exhibitions. Not only are these events a fantastic way to discover new art, but they also provide a chance to meet the artists themselves and learn about their inspirations and creative processes. The atmosphere is always buzzing with crowds of fellow art lovers. Whether you're a seasoned collector or simply curious about the local art scene, First Fridays are an excellent way to spend a Friday night.

First Fridays Etiquette

Everyone is welcome.

First Friday receptions are when a number of the town's art galleries, museums, or artists' studios open their doors on First Friday evening. The idea is that galleries will attract people to the downtown and enrich the art community by pooling their openings together. You can bring friends and family. All ages are welcome to attend. You don’t have to know the artists. First Friday is always free and open to the public.

Dress comfortably

You don’t have to dress nicely, but you can if you like.

Enjoy the refreshments

There are always light refreshments and drinks available.

Stay as long as you like

You can stay for part of the night or the whole time.

You don’t have to be an art expert

If you don’t know much about art, you are not alone. First Friday is an invitation to anyone who is interested in visiting our gallery. We have new exhibits every month featuring different artists. Our team at Peoria Art Guild wants you to join us.

Downtown Parking

Street parking is available outside the Guild and is free after 5 p.m. All parking lots adjacent to the Art Guild are available to park in after 5 p.m. and on the weekends.
