Intro to Illustration- Comics, Trading Cards, and Cartoons for Teens

Have you ever wanted to illustrate a comic book, design trading cards, or create concept art? In this 3-week class with professional author/illustrator Camron Johnson, learn the techniques used to create a traditional work of art from start to finish. You'll learn about the best tools to use, a variety of drawing and painting techniques, and tips for breaking into the industry from a professional - All while you work on YOUR very own illustrations!

Ages 13-18

Tuesday evenings 6:00- 8:00 pm

Cost $75

Basic materials provided by the Peoria Art Guild: paper, pencils, paint, paintbrushes, Sharpies, acrylic paint, rubber cement, blender tool

Optional materials provided by student: Pilot Parallel Pen (2.4mm), Pilot “Mixable Colour” Black Ink Cartridges (For Parallel Pen), Pilot G-2 07 Pen, Gelly Roll 05 White Pen, Bic Wite-Out Correction Pen
