Then students will choose a project of their choice, of medium difficulty for the project piece. We will expand on techniques and processes learned in the intro class. After completion of this class students will have the practice, knowledge, and ability to tackle complex relief carving projects on their own. Including; Pattern making, pattern use. How to read relief carving ‘blueprints’.
Advanced Relief Carving will set students up for 3D carving…carving in the round, where we begin the process of carving figures and objects as they appear in the real world. A priority is placed on one on one attention to the individual needs of each student and their specific project requirements.
