Creating Illustrated Journals
Instructor: Jan Powers
Department: 2D
A picture is said to be worth a thousand words, and while photographs are excellent ways to save your precious memories, an illustrated journal, created by you with pencil, pen, paint and markers is the ultimate treasure. The focus can be on your travels, and/ or on your garden.
This class is an introduction to drawing, focusing on a variety of techniques. No prior experience is required. You will learn about the best tools to use, and the many ways a journal can take shape. I believe everyone is creative, and everyone is an artist.
A blank journal and a waterproof artist pen will be provided. Please bring any art supplies you are comfortable using, colored pencils, watercolors, pencils and markers.
A variety of additional art supplies will also be available for you to use.
