Peoria Art Guild’s Metal & Glass Studio
At the Peoria Art Guild, our Metal & Glass Studio is a dynamic space dedicated to craftsmanship, design, and hands-on creative exploration. Currently home to our metalworking classes, this studio supports artists interested in learning foundational and intermediate techniques in metal arts, with plans to expand into stained glass and mosaic art in the near future. Whether you’re new to working with metal or looking to refine your skills, this studio provides a supportive environment for building technique, experimenting with materials, and developing personal projects. We welcome beginners, hobbyists, students, and practicing artists.
The studio is equipped for structured, instructor-led classes in metalworking, with future offerings in stained glass construction and mosaic design. Classes focus on tool safety, material understanding, and technical skill development while encouraging creative problem-solving and individual expression.
Open Studio sessions for the Metal & Glass Studio are coming soon. These sessions will offer monitored studio access for independent work once they are available. More information will be shared as the program develops.

Fiber & Glass Open Studios (Coming Soon)
Open Studio sessions in the Metal & Glass Studio offer artists the opportunity to work independently in a creative, community-centered environment. These sessions are designed for individuals who are comfortable working with studio tools and processes and would like dedicated time to continue personal projects.
Open Studio is non-instructional. A studio monitor will be present to oversee the space, help with general questions, and ensure proper took use and safety procedures. Participants are expected to work independently and follow all studio guidelines.
Available tools and shared equipment may include metalworking hand tools and designated studio equipment. Access to certain materials and specialty tools may be limited and will be clearly labeled. Participants may be required to provide their own project-specific materials.
Due to the nature of metal and glass processes, all participants must follow established safety protocols at all times.
Open Studio sessions are “pay-as-you-go,” with options for individual sessions or monthly access when available.
We look forward to growing this space into a vibrant hub for metal, glass, and mixed-material exploration.
